Punjab School Education Department Jobs 2026 – Strategic Management Unit Positions Vacant

The Government of Punjab, School Education Department (SED), has announced multiple job vacancies for its newly established Strategic Management Unit (SMU). This is a significant initiative aimed at enhancing efficiency, focus, and timely execution of departmental projects and procurement requirements. The SMU will strengthen institutional capacity for strategic planning, execution, and management of development projects and special initiatives. It will ensure transparent and timely implementation of development schemes through professional project management practices, institutionalize end-to-end project planning, monitoring and reporting, improve utilization of development funds through strengthened financial management and compliance, enhance infrastructure planning, technical oversight and quality assurance, promote evidence-based decision-making through research, data analytics, and digital monitoring systems.

About the SMU Initiative

The Strategic Management Unit is a new and dedicated body under Punjab’s School Education Department, established to bridge the gap between policy and implementation. It will oversee procurement, infrastructure development, communications, and administrative wings with a team of qualified professionals drawn from diverse academic and professional backgrounds.

Available Positions

The positions are organized across four wings:

a. General Wing

The Senior Manager (Admin & Finance) requires a minimum of 15 years of education in Economics, Finance, Accounts, Commerce, Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Public Policy, or CA/ACCA/ACMA/CFA from an HEC recognized university, with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience.

The Manager AI post requires a minimum of 10 years of education in fields including Business Administration, Marketing Analytics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or AI/Data Science, along with certifications such as Certified Data Scientist, Certified AI Practitioner, or AI Trainer Certification. Equivalent global credentials in AI/Data Science from BrainStation are also acceptable.

The Research Associate positions require a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Environmental Science, Economics, Engineering, or Life Sciences, and fresh graduates with demonstrated research skills and research experience are encouraged to apply.

b. Works Wing

The Deputy Chief Works & Infrastructure Development post requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an HEC-recognized university, a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management, and a minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience in public sector infrastructure.

Senior Manager Architecture, Senior Manager Structure, Manager Architecture, Manager Structure, and Manager MEP positions are also available, each requiring relevant degrees in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering from recognized universities, with PCATP registration being mandatory for architecture roles and PEC registration for structure and MEP roles.

c. Project & Technical Roles

Assistant Manager Architect, Structure Draftsman, MEP Draftsman, 3D Visualizer, Documentation Officer, Associate Engineer, Quantity Surveyor, and Architectural Draftsman positions are open. These roles require DAE, B.Tech, or Civil/Diploma in Civil Technology qualifications with 3 to 7 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop, SketchUp, BIM, and MS Office tools is required for most of these roles.

d. Procurement Wing

Senior Manager (Procurement & Contracts) requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Supply Chain, Law/Contract Management, or Engineering with professional certifications like CIPS, PMP, or Contract Management certifications being preferred, along with at least 7 years of relevant work experience.

Assistant Manager (Procurement & Contracts) and Documentation Officer positions also require relevant degrees in Civil Engineering, Law/Contract Management with at least 5 years of relevant experience.

e. Social Media Team

The Communication Lead role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Humanities or Social Sciences with 5 years of relevant communications experience. The Photographer/Videographer post requires a Diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Multimedia, or Visual Arts with 5 to 7 years of photography experience. Animator & Editor, Content Creator, and Graphic Designer positions require relevant degrees with 3 to 5 years of experience in their respective fields.

Age Limit & General Conditions

Maximum age limits range from 35 to 45 years depending on the position. PCATP and PEC registrations are mandatory for architecture and engineering posts respectively.
