About the Recruitment
The Pakistan Railways Lahore Division is looking to hire eligible individuals falling within the territorial jurisdiction of Pakistan Railways, Lahore Division. After selection, successful candidates will be required to undergo prescribed training if declared FIT by the Divisional Medical Officer, Pakistan Railways, Lahore.

1. Carpenter – 05 Posts Scale: BSP-6 | Department: Mechanical/C&W Qualification: Matric 2nd Division with one year Diploma/certificate in relevant trade from Government Recognized Institute.
2. Welder – 05 Posts Scale: BSP-6 | Department: Mechanical/C&W Qualification: Matric 2nd Division with one year Diploma/certificate in relevant trade from Government Recognized Institute.
3. Fitter – 20 Posts Scale: BSP-6 | Department: Mechanical/Loco Qualification: Matric 2nd Division with one year Diploma/certificate in relevant trade from Government Recognized Institute.
4. Pointsman – 111 Posts Scale: BSP-5 | Department: Transportation Qualification: Matric 2nd Division.
5. Gateman – 130 Posts Scale: BSP-2 | Department: Transportation Qualification: Middle Pass.
Age Limit
The general age limit is 18 to 25 years, with several relaxation categories:
In case of Ex-Service Man, the upper age limit is relaxed to the extent of service rendered in Armed Forces or 15 years, whichever is less. Candidates from Scheduled Castes or Buddhist Community receive a 3-year relaxation. Continuous government servants and contract employees who have completed 2 years of service get a 10-year relaxation. Sons of deceased civil servants who died in service receive 5 years of relaxation. A candidate may benefit from only one relaxation category.
Domicile Requirements
Candidates from the following districts can apply: Lahore, Okara, Sahiwal (Chak 52/5L, Tehsil & District Sahiwal), Kasur, Pak Pattan (Village Chak 40SP, 14SP & 15SP Tehsil & District Pak Pattan), Gujranwala, Gujrat, Deona Mandiali, Jalalpur Jattan & Tanda Pind Tehsil, Qila Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Hafizabad, Chiniot, Chenab Nagar, Jhang, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Sialkot and Narowal.
Recruitment Quota
The recruitment will follow a specific quota system: Open Merit (Disable quota applicable on selected categories) — 60%, Son of Railway Employee (serving, retired or deceased aged 18+) — 20%, Ex-Service Man — 10%, Orphans other than Railways — 5%, Minority — 5%.

Candidates must submit the following along with their application: verified photo copies of educational qualification certificates/diplomas, National Identity Card, Domicile, Character Certificate, three passport size photographs, and Relationship Certificate if applying under Son of Railway Employee quota. Four postal envelopes with complete address and mobile number must also be attached.
A postal order of Rs. 550 in favor of the Divisional Personnel Officer, P.R., Lahore must be attached as a processing fee. No application will be accepted without postal orders.

Each envelope must contain only one application. Two applications in one envelope will not be entertained. The phone number, complete home address, category and quota must be clearly mentioned.
Important Terms & Conditions
Only short-listed candidates will be called for Written Test, Skill Test (Running) and Interview. Selected candidates must pass a medical examination cleared by Security Agencies and undergo specified training. Fake certificate submissions will result in lawful proceedings.
