Available Positions
The college is recruiting for a total of 11 Assistant Professor positions across various departments:
Basic Sciences: Assistant Professor – Anatomy (1 Post)
Clinical Sciences: Assistant Professor – Medicine, Gynecology, Vitreoretinal Surgery, Dermatology, Nephrology, Medical Interventional Oncology, Interventional Radiology, Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, and Paediatric Intensive Care (10 Posts)
Eligibility & Qualification Criteria
For Basic Sciences, candidates must hold a Ph.D. or FCPS in the relevant subject. M.Phil holders may be considered if Ph.D. or FCPS candidates are unavailable. A minimum of two years of relevant experience is required.
For Clinical Sciences posts (Serial 2–7), the required qualifications include MBBS along with higher diplomas such as FCPS, MRCP, FRCS, or an equivalent American/British Board qualification. PMDC registration is mandatory prior to appointment, along with two years of post-qualification experience and two published research papers.
For Serial 8–11 positions (Interventional Radiology, Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, Paediatric Intensive Care), a two-tier eligibility framework applies. The first preference is MBBS with a higher diploma in the relevant specialty or a Diploma from an American Board. The second preference is FCPS or equivalent, with 02 years of post-graduate Diploma or fellowship from a CPSP-recognized institute. Candidates must also present two published research papers and at least two years of post-FCPS/MRCP/FRCS experience.
Remuneration
For positions Serial 8 through 11, a Special Package commensurate with experience and qualification will be offered. All selected Clinical Faculty will be required to work within Institution-Based Private Practice (IBPP) at Ayub Teaching Hospital. They will not be permitted to conduct private practice outside the hospital premises, as per institutional policy.
Selection Process
Shortlisting will be based on educational qualifications and relevant experience per BOG AMC criteria. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews. A minimum of 70 percent marks will be considered as passing interview marks. The Chairman Committee will ensure unbiased marking, and Government servants must submit a NOC from their concerned department.
