Shrimp Aquaculture Project Management Unit Jobs 2026 – Punjab Fisheries Recruitment
The Shrimp Aquaculture Project Management Unit (PMU), operating under the Government of Punjab’s fisheries development initiative, has announced recruitment for multiple technical and support positions under the development project titled “Establishment of Shrimp Aquaculture Estate” at 58 NB, Tehsil and District Sargodha (2025-26 to 2027-28).
All appointments will be made on a contract basis for two years under Project Pay Scale (PPS-02 to PPS-07), extendable up to the gestation period of the project. This is a unique opportunity for science, engineering, and technical professionals to contribute to a landmark aquaculture development initiative in Punjab.
Available Posts, Qualifications & Salaries
1. Chemist (PPS-7) – 01 Post | Rs. 200,000/month
Qualification: BS/MSc/MS in Chemistry (Analytical, Organic, Inorganic, or Environmental). Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in water quality, feed analysis, or aquaculture chemistry labs. Skills Required: Analytical instruments including AAS and spectrophotometers, water/soil/feed analysis, and lab management. Max Age: 45 years.
2. Microbiologist (PPS-7) – 01 Post | Rs. 200,000/month
Qualification: BS/MSc/MS in Microbiology or Biotechnology. Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in aquatic health labs, pathogen detection, and quality control. Skills Required: PCR, ELISA, microbial culturing, and disease diagnostics in shrimp or aquatic organisms. Max Age: 45 years.
3. Pathologist (PPS-7) – 01 Post | Rs. 200,000/month
Qualification: BS/MSc/MS in Pathology or DVM. Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in aquatic health labs and disease diagnostics in shrimp or aquatic environments. Max Age: 45 years.
4. Research Assistant (PPS-5) – 06 Posts | Rs. 75,000/month
Qualification: BSc with Zoology or Biology or Fisheries or Aquaculture (second division) from a recognized university, OR BSc or BS (Hons) second division or CGPA 2.5 with Zoology as a major subject — four years semesters or eight semesters from a recognized university. Max Age: 25 years.
5. Sub Engineer Electrical (PPS-5) – 02 Posts | Rs. 75,000/month
Qualification: BSc in Electrical Engineering with one year relevant experience, OR three-year Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Electrical Technology from a recognized Board of Technical Education with three years of relevant experience. Max Age: 30 years.
6. Sub Engineer Civil (PPS-5) – 01 Post | Rs. 75,000/month
Qualification: BSc in Civil Engineering with one year relevant experience, OR three-year DAE in Civil Technology from a recognized Board of Technical Education with three years of relevant experience. Max Age: 30 years.
7. Sub Engineer Mechanical (PPS-5) – 01 Post | Rs. 75,000/month
Qualification: BSc in Civil Engineering with one year relevant experience, OR three-year DAE in Mechanical Technology from a recognized Board of Technical Education with three years of relevant experience. Max Age: 30 years.
8. Documentation Assistant (PPS-4) – 02 Posts | Rs. 55,000/month
Qualification: Intermediate (second division) from a recognized board with a typing speed of 25 words per minute. Note: Preference will be given to candidates who also know Urdu typing at 25 words per minute. Max Age: 25 years.
9. Drone Operator (PPS-4) – 01 Post | Rs. 55,000/month
Qualification: Intermediate 2nd Division from a recognized board with three years of experience in photography and drone videography. Max Age: 30 years.
Key Conditions & How to Apply
Only candidates holding domicile of Punjab Province are eligible to apply. All candidates must apply online at http://jobs.punjab.gov.pk on or before 16-03-2026 (Monday) and must also submit a hard copy of the online application along with two recent passport-size photographs, CNIC, domicile, academic certificates, and experience certificates.
The hard copy must be submitted in person or through courier to the Project Director (Shrimp Aquaculture), 9-A Bahawalpur Road, Chauburji, Lahore, against each post by 16-03-2026 (Monday) during office hours. Applications without both online submission and hard copy will be considered incomplete and will not be entertained.
In-service candidates must obtain NOC or DPC from their respective departments at the time of application and must produce the same at the time of interview if shortlisted. Age relaxation in the upper age limit is admissible as per Government of Punjab S&GAD Notification — 5 years for male candidates and 8 years for female candidates.
Annual increments will be granted as per approved criteria. Selected candidates shall have no claim for regularization or permanent appointment. No TA/DA will be admissible for test or interview.
