Pak-Austria Fachhochschule: Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology (PAF-IAST), a prestigious public sector chartered degree-awarding institute and a project of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has announced faculty positions for 2026. Available Faculty Positions
PAF-IAST is currently recruiting for three faculty positions in the School of Paramedical Sciences on a Teaching Track:
1. Associate Professor – (01 Post)
This senior academic position comes with two eligibility pathways.
Under the first option, candidates must hold a PhD degree in Nursing or Public Health from a reputed HEC-recognized university (preferable), with a minimum of 6 years of post-PhD teaching or clinical experience. Applicants must also have five to seven research publications in HEC-recognized journals, of which at least two must be as first author. The age limit for this route is 50 years.
Under the second option, candidates holding an MSN or MSPN degree from any reputed HEC-recognized university are also eligible, provided they have 6 years of teaching experience as an Assistant Professor or relevant clinical experience. Sufficient experience of supervision at the master’s level will be preferred. The age limit is 50 years for this pathway as well.
2. Assistant Professor – (01 Post)
Candidates applying for this position must hold an MSN or MSPN degree from any reputed HEC-recognized university. A minimum of 4 years of teaching or clinical experience is required. The age limit for this position is 40 years. This is an excellent opportunity for mid-career nursing and public health academics looking to take on a more senior academic role in a government institution.
3. Lecturer – (01 Post)
The Lecturer position is suitable for early-career professionals in the field of nursing or public health. Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in Nursing or Public Health (MSN or MSPH) from a recognized university. A minimum of 2 years of teaching or clinical experience is required. The age limit for this position is 35 years. This role provides an ideal entry point for qualified professionals wishing to begin a rewarding career in academia.
